NORTHFIELD, VT— Darn Tough Vermont, maker of the fastest growing collection of outdoor performance socks in the USA, adds to its Women’s Hike/Trek line with the all-new Daphne Quarter length Cushion and Light Hiker Aztec Micro Crew Light Cushion socks. Both will be introduced for the first time at the 2013 Summer Outdoor Retailer Show in booth #BR419.
“We have always looked to provide highly technical hiking footwear and have done this again with our new Daphne and Light Hiker Aztec socks. We are able to make socks that provide an ideal blend of cushioning and durability, but without the bulkiness of heavier hiking socks,” said Ric Cabot, founder and president of Darn Tough Vermont. “Our Light Cushion socks have been very well received since we first introduced them last summer. Using a lighter-weight yarn we are able to offer durable cushioning in an incredibly low-volume sock that still has the performance advantages of our traditional cushion sock, but without compromising the comfort, fit, or durability that Darn Tough is known for.”
Darn Tough puts a creative new spin on its popular quarter length cushion sock with the Daphne. A reinforced heel and toe deliver the ultimate in fit, wicking, and temperature regulation to provide unrivaled comfort for all day hikes. Ribbing above the ankle ensures a proper fit and elastic support around the arch keeps your socks from slipping. The Daphne comes in four earthy color schemes from renowned outdoor apparel designer Poppy Gall, that keep your socks as fashionable as they are functional on the trails.
Darn Tough adds the new Aztec Micro Crew Light Cushion for the hiker who is looking for a light-weight sock that still has cushioning on the bottom of their feet for miles and miles of pure foot comfort. The Aztec Hikers will slide comfortably in to any hiking boot thanks to a custom made 17.2-micron Merino wool that is half the wool yarn weight of the company’s cushion socks. Darn Tough’s True-Seamless™ knitting technology finishes the sock with a virtually undetectable toe seam and provides a next-to-skin feel.
American manufacturer of the only premium, all-weather performance socks with an unconditional lifetime guarantee, all Darn Tough socks are made in Northfield, Vermont.
These new socks being introduced at the 2013 OR Summer show, will be shipping to retail in Spring 2014. For more information, please visit www.darntough.com.
