Darn Tough Vermont Serves Up Over 3,500 Creemees, Plows Through 65 Lbs. of Bacon At Summer OR

NORTHFIELD, VT— Darn Tough Vermont, maker of the fastest growing collection of outdoor performance socks in the USA, delivered yet again at the Summer Outdoor Retailer Market with its maple creemees topped with bacon. This year, Darn Tough set a new company record: 3,500 maple creemees served up using more than 65 pounds of Carleton brand bacon!

“We strive to not only make the best socks available on the market, but also show the world that everything tastes better with bacon,” said Ric Cabot, founder and president of Darn Tough Vermont. “Sure folks love our socks, but seeing people’s faces after a taste of bacon ice cream, well that alone is worth the trip to Salt Lake City. I’m so proud of this accomplishment and I think we can move 100 lbs. at Winter OR!”

At the show Darn Tough debuted 12 new innovative socks for Spring 2014, which included showcasing five new versions of its successful ultra-light and light cushion Run/Bike collections. Darn Tough also featured two brand new Lifestyle categories with the No-Show Women’s Light and the Mid-Calf Men’s Standard Issue socks and rounding out the field were two new women’s Hike/Trek socks, the Daphne Quarter length Cushion and Light Hiker Aztec Micro Crew Light Cushion.
