LONGMONT, Colo. (Jan. TBD, 2020) – Deuter, a global leader in backpacks and outdoor equipment, announces the launch of its 100-percent Perfluorocarbon-free (PFC) Fall 2020 collection ahead of the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show in Denver, January 29–31. Deuter has long been an expert in the outdoors and the new products build upon its innovative heritage while expanding into more everyday categories for active, urban consumers. The Fall 2020 collection includes the brand’s newest line of urban lifestyle packs, the UP Series, as well as a new AViANT travel luggage line and updated Freerider Pro ski touring pack. The entire 2020 collection is PFC-free and highlights Deuter’s values of high-quality, functional and comfortable gear.
“Deuter has delivered the highest quality packs for hikers, cyclists, climbers and skiers for more than 120 years. The UP Series is a natural extension, delivering the comfort and technical features well known to fans of the brand, but in an assortment that is at home on the commute or campus,” says Jonathan Degenhardt, senior marketing manager at Deuter USA. “With a complete bluesign® approved collection, in addition to going completely PFC-free across our entire product range in 2020, Deuter is doubling down on our commitment to sustainably produced outdoor goods.”
The three packs comprising the UP Series—Seoul, Stockholm and Sydney—deliver the functional, sustainable design for which Deuter products are known, using 100-percent recycled materials. Each UP Series bag features Deuter’s AirContact Back System, which evenly distributes weight for a comfortable, cushioned fit for your work commute or walk to class. They each feature plenty of space and pockets to organize one’s belongings, a padded laptop compartment and an expandable topper.
Also new for Fall 2020 is the new AViANT Access Movo series, designed for frequent travelers. This sophisticated luggage line comes in three sizes: a 36-liter carry-on as well as larger 60-liter and 80-liter sizes. Whether for business or pleasure, AViANT luggage offers smooth maneuverability while dashing through the airport thanks to its four rollers and can also be carried as a backpack via its stowable straps.
Also new for Fall 2020 is the latest iteration of Deuter’s best-selling ski pack, the Freerider Pro, designed for keen backcountry skiers in need of a full-featured winter pack for longer or multi-day ski tours. Key updates to the pack include additional, expandable storage capacity thanks to a new roll top for longer tours, quicker access to gear via a new rear opening and a more streamlined design and aesthetic. Each Freerider Pro pack features a dedicated avalanche equipment compartment with reinforced shovel sleeve and organizer pockets, stowable gear straps to affix skis, snowboard or snowshoes, and a back-panel zipper opening for quick, convenient access.
Deuter will present its entire Fall 2020 collection at the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show January 29-31, 2020 in booth #35039-UL. For media inquiries, please contact Emily Banks at firstname.lastname@example.org.
