DownTek Releases Roster of Brand Partners

Down Decor, a wholesale supplier of DownTekâ„¢ — the revolutionary hydrophobic and quick-drying down technology — today released the roster of DownTek partner brands that will be utilizing this water-repellent technology for the 2012/2013 winter season: Big Agnes, Brooks-Range, EMS, L.L.Bean, Mountain Hardwear, NEMO, Reecho, Mountain Designs, Sea to Summit and Salewa.

As a bulk down supplier since 1996, Down Decor products have been a crucial thermal component within a range of outdoor brands’ products across the industry. As DownTek grows, Down Decor will continue to exercise their non-exclusive stance with all of their current and any potential partners.

“We are committed to making this technology available to any high quality brand that wants to use it,” said Down Decor President Daniel Guigui. “We also have an open-door policy with our testing and technology. Big Agnes will introduce two new DownTek sleeping bags this fall. By 2013, the company will have 16 DownTek bags that will be sold throughout various retailers.

L.L.Bean is another partner company that will hit the market early with DownTek technology. The Ultralight 850 Down Jacket, also available this fall, is windproof, features 850-fill DownTek down and has a built-in stuff sack.
