Performance Wear Features Patented Temperature Regulated Cooling Technology

Portsmouth, N.H. (July 29, 2015)Dr. Cool, an apparel and accessory brand built on the foundation of chemical-free cooling, today announced the launch of its cooling accessories and apparel collection for men, women and children. The line is designed for a variety of sports and activities including dance, golf, running, tennis, training and yoga, among others. Building upon the successful launch of the Dr. Cool ice wraps, available at more than 5,000 doors worldwide, the new Dr. Cool line utilizes Coolcore’s proprietary, award-winning temperature regulated cooling material. It is the industry’s first chemical-free cooling material for the textile market. All products are available online at getdrcool.com and at select specialty running and sporting goods retail locations.

Rather than a simple wicking technology that typically uses a topical chemical agent, Dr. Cool accessories and apparel make moisture and sweat work for consumers. Its moisture-and sweat-activated materials deliver wicking, moisture circulation and regulated evaporation, reducing the fabric’s surface temperature up to 30 percent and providing lasting comfort during high-performance or day-to-day activities.

“Dr. Cool is the next generation of cooling products, enabling wearers to focus on enjoying their activities, rather than the heat,” said Nicholas Skally, vice president of marketing and branding for Dr. Cool. “With the continued rise of ‘athleisure,’ people are looking for clothing with performance features that transitions seamlessly from workout to being out and about.”

Accessories for men and women include Active Caps, Chillbands, Chillsleeves, Multi Chills and Wristbands. The proprietary features include pulse-point cooling and UVA protection to keep users dry, cool and comfortable.

Coolcore’s cooling material technology has undergone more than four years of lab and field testing and is the first U.S. company to receive the “Innovative Technology” award, and the only company recognized for “Cooling Power,” from the world-renowned Hohenstein Institute, recognized globally sine 1946 for its market-leading testing systems serving the textile industry.
