Chemservice, an independent, Luxemburg based regulatory affairs service has thoroughly evaluated Optimer Brand’s Dri-release with FreshGuard patented moisture transport and odor elimination technology and has certified that it is in full REACH compliance.
Introduced in June of 2007, REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals) seeks to control the production and use of chemicals that may be harmful to human health and the environment. It is considered the strictest law to date regulating chemical substances in the European Union and resulted from the Johannesburg World Summit on sustainable development in 2002.
“We knew Dri-release and FreshGuard were safe, but wanted to go the extra mile and have it checked so our customers that market in the EU could be assured of REACH compliance,†says Karen Deniz, Dri-release director of marketing.
In their summary, Chemservice states that Dri-release is in such complete conformance that ‘registration or notification according to Title II of REACH is not required’.
