January 2015 – (Boulder, CO) – DYNAFIT, the leading brand in all forms of human powered skiing, is proud to announce its official North American roster of professional athletes and ambassadors committed to representing the brand’s bindings, boots, skis, skins and winter apparel for Winter, 2015. Having received a continuous stream of interest from talented athletes interested in joining the team, the selection process was not easy. Those who qualified stood out from the crowd through a selection criteria based on dedication, athleticism, passion and a commitment to the core values of DYNAFIT – Speed, Lightness, Performance and Technology.
“Our Winter team is heading into the 2015 Winter Season with fire in their hearts for backcountry skiing,” said Eric Henderson, DYNAFIT North America’s Communications and Team Manager. “We’re a very passionate and engaged winter brand and we’re building this team to help share our brand stories. This group of talented athletes doesn’t only excel with uphill and downhill skiing pursuits – they’re also excellent community members, stewards of the backcountry, and ambassadors of human powered skiing.”
DYNAFIT has four product categories within its hardgoods and softgoods offerings: Free Touring – often compared to surfing mountains with mixed terrain and features where earning your own turns really pays off; Ski Touring – easily associated with endless laps of powder and never once crossing another track; Speed Touring – considered the alpine style of climbing to the sport of skiing, where speed is associated with safety and high elevations; and Ski Running – often compared to its summer counterpart, ulta-running, where athletes are pitted in a race against other fit competitors, the altitude, and dry, cold air. Speed Up!
Although each are unique in their talents and specialties, each Athlete and Ambassador – from Cody Barnhill to Brody Leven – represent one of the above segments. The Athlete Team is adorned with every product category of Dynafit, from jacket to binding, while the Ambassador team represents two or more product groups, in most cases boots and bindings.
The official North American Athlete roster for 2015 includes : Eric Hjorleifson, Cody Barnhill, Jamie Laidlaw, Trevor Hunt, Marshall Thomson, and the newest addition to the team, KT Miller. The Ambassador team – spreading the 30-year legacy of the DYNAFIT boot and binding include: Andrew McLean, Jimmy Chin, Kit Deslauriers, Dean Cummings, Brody Leven, Forrest Coots, Doug Workman, Zahan Billimoria, Donny Roth, Rob Hess, Kalen Thorien, Crystal Wright, Joey Schusler, Whit Boucher, Dan Cooper, Zac Giffin, Meredith Edwards, Thomas Woodson, Stevie Kremer, Eric Carter, Larry Goldie, Pete Swenson, Ruedi Beglinger and Dick Jackson.
On Day One of the Winter Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City, DYNAFIT will be hosting a Team Party at the booth (#36113). If you are attending the show and can make it, please swing by and welcome these athletes to the team in person.
