Boulder, CO – Dynafit, leader of the light-and-fast backcountry ski revolution, is proud to report its new 09/10 alpine-touring-specific boot collection has set the standard for awards from core magazines this season. This includes two Editor’s Choice Awards for its new Titan and ZZero 4PX Women’s boots.

Garnering the most attention of any boot in the collection, is Dynafit’s new expert freeride touring boot – The Titan – the lightest and most powerful four-buckle, overlap design AT boot. The Titan has been honored with the coveted Backcountry Magazine Editor’s Choice Award. The editors at Backcountry lauded the Titan for its “phenomenal flex consistency, comfortable walk mode ergonomics, and alpine-style power”, praising it as a leader in the growing freeride touring category.

A true no-limits boot, the Titan has also been recognized by the ski industry’s leading big mountain/freeski publications, earning a POWDER Magazine Skier’s Choice Award, Skiing Magazine’s Official Test Selection Award, and also appearing in national publications like Men’s Journal – who deemed the Titan the “missing-link” between alpine and touring boots.

Bagging another Editor’s Choice award and a few best-in-class mentions is Dynafit’s women-specific boot collection, with the women’s ZZero 4PX stealing the show among female testers and winning big with Backcountry Magazine. Exceptionally lightweight with unmatched walk/tour abilities, Dynafit’s ZZero 4PX and new Gaia offer women four-buckle performance and stiffness without all the weight.

And recognizing this revolution, Skiing Magazine also chooses Dynafit’s ZZero 4C for the Year’s Best Gear in its December issue, calling the “green machine”, carbon-fueled, superlight touring boot “just stiff enough and just light enough.”

During the review process, the testers compared the performance of the new Dynafit collection against other alpine touring boots from the ski industry’s most innovative brands. Dynafit consistently received top scores for exceptional fit and comfort, technical performance, and lightweight. In the end, Dynafit’s boots scored more wins from these key publications, than any other AT-specific boot collection.

“While our focus is always on breaking down limits to adventure in the backcountry, it’s definitely rewarding to receive such positive feedback and to be recognized for developing some exceptional products,“ said Chris Sword, Dynafit’s President. “This objective product evaluation helps cut through the clutter,” added Sword.
