Dynafit North America Summer Athlete Marshall Thomson Sets New Running Record

6 New England States; 6 high points; 31 hours and 34 minutes;

July 2013 – (Boulder, Co) – Dynafit North America, the world’s only full-line full-time supplier of backcountry skiing, alpine running and alpine biking products is proud to announce that Marshall Thomson, their Summer athlete captain as well as the defending winner of the Leadville trail marathon, ran himself into the record books.

On Tuesday July 23rd Marshall set out to run the highest points in the six states of New England. Starting at Mt Katahdin in Maine (5,268 feet) and then continuing to Mt. Washington NH, Jerimoth Hill RI, Mt. Frissell CT, Mount Grey Lock Mass, and finishing on Mt. Mansfield in his home state of Vermont.

Thomson is joined by Eric Carter and Meredith June Edwards to create the Dynafit elite Summer athlete team. Dynafit North America has a team of more than 20 professional athletes which includes ski running, speed touring, ski touring, free touring, freeride touring, and now ultrarunners. Eric Carter a Pacific North West Sky Runner and recent speed skier on Rainer is quickly becoming the fastest man from sea to sky. While Meredith June Edwards, first place finisher at the High Sierra 50k and long distance runner from Jackson Hole continues to reach the podium across the country.

“There is so much more potential in mountain running that I am driven to explore,” said Marshall. “My goal for the next few years is to run as much as possible while pushing the limits of possibility. I am psyched to be aligned with Dynafit as I take the next steps in my career.”
