SEATTLE, WA — Cascade Designs, Inc. today announced the launch of a new brand, E-Case™, under its successful family of outdoor brands. The E-Case line of waterproof mobile electronics cases—formerly marketed and sold under paddling-centric SealLine®—will hit the market in 2013 under its own brand to answer the universal need for savvy, waterproof electronics cases that offer full device utility.

“With the proliferation of smartphones, tablets and the latest Apple devices, we felt the E-case line was well poised to support market needs beyond the core paddle sport community,” said Darren Pinne, division director of gear protection and travel accessories for Cascade Designs. “With straightforward designs and stylish aesthetics, E-Case products appeal to anyone who lives the active lifestyle. Skiers, mountain bikers, campers, hikers, beach-goers—these folks also want to be able to use their devices anywhere, anytime and with E-Case, they can. The re-brand supports this extension.”

E-Case protective cases deliver an unrivaled, sophisticated combination of submersible, waterproof protection that delivers unrestricted access to your device’s features and functions in wet or gritty environments.

E-Case products are made in Seattle, where the wet weather, lakes and ocean provide the ideal environment for waterproof product testing. Each case features high-clarity, supple windows for full touchscreen functionality and undistorted audio. The easy-to-use SealLockâ„¢ zipper closures are dual-track and interlocking to provide guaranteed submersible protection. And die-cut lash points allow users to safely tether their device to their gear, packs or apparel on adventures. Every E-Case case is individually tested to ensure that it meets the IPX7 electronics-industry standard of withstanding submersion in one meter of water for 30 minutes.

The cases come in two series: iSeries™ cases, designed specifically for iPad®, iPhone®, iPod touch® and iPod nano® devices; and eSeries™ cases, which fit a variety of e-readers, GPS units, tablets and smartphones.

The new E-Case collection of electronics cases will debut in August at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, USA. The line is currently available at retail stores under the SealLine brand but will emerge under the E-Case brand in January 2013.
