Vista, Ca. – Eagle Creek selected Changes in Latitude, a locally owned adventure travel store in Boulder, Colorado as the Pack-It® Dealer of the Year for 2007. The 15-year-old store received the recognition based on its performance in a two-month promotion intended to promote packing right while making the gear and accessory experience easy for travelers.
Cindy McClelland, Changes in Latitude Founder and Owner, and her staff reached out to the local Boulder community by holding in-store packing clinics and a demonstration for the University of Colorado Study Abroad Program. Under Cindy’s leadership, store sales of packing solutions substantially increased.
“Changes in Latitude embodies a retailer providing consumers with the most innovative travel solutions available,†said Michael Millenacker, Vice President of Sales for Eagle Creek. “We believe the strong interest in our Pack-It® category speaks to a growing trend of packing and organization in the travel market. Eagle Creek was first to market with packing solutions and we’re committed to championing this concept with great retailers like Changes in Latitude.â€
Every year Eagle Creek partners with participating retailers for the purpose of educating consumers in packing solutions. This year, over 200 stores competed in the Pack-It® promotion reaching out to their communities with packing demonstrations and clinics. One store is recognized annually for their outreach demonstrations, window displays, increased sales, and other creative efforts involving Eagle Creek products.
