Asheville, NC – August 25, 2016 –  Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO), the leading provider of ingeniously crafted parachute hammocks and outdoor accessories, is proud to announce the launch of two special edition DoubleNest Hammocks to celebrate the centennial anniversary of the National Park Service (NPS) and the work of the National Park Foundation (NPF).

The NPS Centennial DoubleNest Hammock will be exclusively available at REI as part of their lineup of national park centennial gear. For each hammock sold ENO will donate a portion of the proceeds directly to the National Park Service to help safeguard the heritage of our national parks.

In conjunction with the NPS Centennial DoubleNest Hammock, ENO has also launched a special edition National Park Foundation DoubleNest Hammock that will be available at authorized ENO retailers nationwide. For each hammock sold $10.00 will be donated to the NPF to help enrich America’s national parks and programs, and to inspiring generations of national park enthusiasts.

The NPS and NPF special edition hammocks are the latest in Eagles Nest Outfitters Giving Back program that supports conservation organizations by giving a portion of the proceeds from the special edition hammocks directly back to the respective organization. The program started with a special edition hammock to benefit the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. Two years later the program has grown to also include the Pacific Crest Trail Association, the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, and now the National Park Foundation and the National Park Service.

“We are proud to support the efforts of our partner organizations who are working hard to protect and preserve our natural places through management efforts and education,” said Peter Pinholster, ENO’s co-owner and president. “ENO looks forward to continuing to grow this program to help ensure that that these natural places can be shared and enjoyed now and for future generations.”
