Asheville, NC – June 15, 2017

Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO), the leading provider of ingeniously crafted packable, nylon hammocks and outdoor accessories, the launch of a special edition DoubleNest Hammock for the European Outdoor Conservation Association (EOCA) to help their work in protect our wild places. For each hammock sold, $10.00 will be donated to EOCA to use toward ongoing conservation projects in Europe.

The special edition DoubleNest Hammock benefiting EOCA will be launched next week at the OutDoor Show in Friedrichshafen, Germany.

“We are very excited to see the new, exclusive and stunning EOCA Doublenest Hammock which ENO has created for the Association,” said Catherine Savidge, General Manager, EOCA. “Not only will ENO be selling the hammocks for EOCA at the OutDoor tradeshow, but also via their retail outlets. This is a first for EOCA, and we are very grateful to ENO for raising additional funds for the Association in this way. 100% of the money raised at the OutDoor tradeshow in Germany will be spent on conservation projects which benefit outdoor enthusiasts worldwide.”

The EOCA DoubleNest Hammock is the latest in ENO’s Giving Back Program. The series of hammocks supports conservation organizations by giving a portion of the proceeds from each special edition hammock directly back to the respective organization. The program started with a special edition hammock to benefit the Appalachian Trail Conservancy. Three years later the program has grown to also include the Pacific Crest Trail Association, the Continental Divide Trail Coalition, the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, the National Park Foundation, and now, the European Outdoor Conservation Association.

“We are extremely excited to partner with EOCA and help support their mission of conserving wild spaces through our Giving Back Program,” said Adam Cohen, International Sales Manager at ENO. “Domestically, this has proven to be a powerful program and we look forward to expanding the portfolio by bringing the EOCA DoubleNest Hammock to the European Market for OutDoor 2017.”

The Giving Back Series of DoubleNest Hammocks are offered at retail, giving ENO retailers and their customers the opportunity to make an impact by using their purchasing power to help preserve and protect the places we recreate.

“We are proud to support the efforts of our partner organizations who are working hard to protect and preserve our natural places through management efforts and education,” said Peter Pinholster, ENO’s owner and president. “ENO looks forward to continuing to grow this program to help ensure that these natural places can be shared and enjoyed now and for future generations.”
