Eastern Mountain Sports, one of the nation’s leading outdoor specialty retailers, has partnered with RecycleBank, an incentive based recycling program that partners with cities to reward consumers for the amount of waste they recycle. This East Coast based program encourages more recycling in homes by rewarding families for taking part in their local, curbside recycling programs. As a RecycleBank business partner, Eastern Mountain Sports is offering participants $20 off purchases of $100 or more. RecycleBank is currently available in communities in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, with expansion this spring into Massachusetts, New York, and Vermont.
“At Eastern Mountain Sports, our goal is to do as much as we can to reduce our impact on the environment and encourage our customers to do the same,†said Scott Barrett, vice president and chief marketing officer of Eastern Mountain Sports. “RecycleBank is a proven partner that encourages consumers through incentives to do their part to help the environment.â€

This customer base is sensitive to sustainability issues. This seems like good business for both parties involved. In the end, households, businesses, communities and the environment reap the benefits of sustainable business practices.â€
