ElliptiGO Inc. Announces Sponsorship of Stand Up America Campaign

ElliptiGO Inc., creator of the world’s fastest elliptical cycles, today announced their sponsorship of L.E.A.D.E.R.S.H.I.P. 1st, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization, in support of their “Stand Up America” awareness campaign. Starting December 7th, LEADERSHIP 1st founder Derrick Boles will trek more than 2,000 miles on an ElliptiGO from San Diego, California to New Orleans, Louisiana arriving in time for the Super Bowl. He will be accompanied by a rotating team of professional athletes, former NFL players, and celebrities who will be inspiring folks to “stand up” and become a leader in their communities. In addition, the “Stand Up America” campaign will raise awareness and support for small non-profit organizations working to improve these communities, such as Elijah’s Heart, LifeCHANGE, National Sports Authority, MACE, Operation Home Front, and the National Association of School Resource Officers.

“In the 6 weeks leading up to the Super Bowl, our team of riders will spread a message of hope and health as they ride across the country,” stated Boles. “We want to remind people across the Nation that if we want things to change, we cannot wait for someone else to fix us. We must each become a leader and stand up for ourselves and our communities. I’m doing this to support and promote the non-profit underdogs, those people who continue to fight to make our world a better place despite the overwhelming odds against them.”

Undertaking this epic journey on an ElliptiGO was a natural choice, as the innovative elliptical bike has no seat and riders stand to propel themselves forward. “The ElliptiGO is the perfect machine for this journey because it both visually illustrates our ’stand up‘ theme as well as promotes the importance of physical fitness,” said Boles. “Its low-impact motion means I will be able to ride it every day for 60 days without stressing my joints, plus its eye-catching design will bring more attention to our journey and our message.”

Boles has been training intensively for several weeks to prepare for this endeavor. He will be on an ElliptiGO every step of the way and be joined by a group of former NFL players, celebrities and professional athletes at different points along his route and at rallies in San Diego, Phoenix, Dallas, and New Orleans.
