Combining two best selling products, ENO announces new bug-battling hammock design just in time for warmer temperatures
Eagles Nest Outfitters (ENO), the industry leading parachute hammock company, continues to expand their popular hammock series with the JungleNest Hammock. Designed specifically for battling biting and stinging insects while on the trail, the JungleNest combines two of the company’s best sellers – the SingleNest Hammock and Guardian BugNet – into one insect protection fortress.
Measuring 9’ x 4’8”, the JungleNest features 210D Nylon Taffeta Ripstop, a full-length easy-access zipper entry, a secret stash pocket in the attached stuff sack, an interior zippered organizational pocket, and built in prusik knots for easy hanging. Marrying ease and design, an interior bungee cordlock system allows the user to adjust the loft from the inside – maximizing relaxation time and minimizing insect annoyances.
“ENO is striving to support people who hammock in a variety of conditions and climates, and we recognize that some of our hammockers are dealing with bugs 100% of the time,” said James Frinak, ENO’s chief Designer. “A removable bug net is not their best solution, so the JungleNest was born to help fill in that void.”
Similar to the other hammocks in ENO’s line, the JungleNest sets up in seconds and comes complete with smooth aluminum wiregate carabiners. In addition, an attached compression stuff sack optimizes storage and portability.
Although designed with the SingleNest Hammock and Guardian BugNet in mind, the JungleNest weighs only 27oz; lighter than if one were to bring the SingleNest and Guardian separately. Retailing for $99.95, it is also easier on the wallet than purchasing both hammock and bug net individually.
“What we were trying to do is something for the weight and budget conscious,” said CEO and President of ENO, Peter Pinholster. “We wanted to give them two great products in one item to really lighten them up. What we came up with hits the mark perfectly.”
