EOG to survey European retailers regarding future trade show location
The European Outdoor Group as part of its commitment to ensuring that all aspects of the future of the OutDoor show are considered is undertaking a survey of approximately 200 key European retailers.

Zug, Switzerland – The European Outdoor Group as part of its commitment to ensuring that all aspects of the future of the OutDoor show are considered is undertaking a survey of approximately 200 key European retailers.
Using information supplied by members of the European Outdoor Group, a database has been compiled that is representative of the wider European outdoor retail sector. This has then been handed to an independent body to conduct the survey and to ensure the opinions of individual retailers are kept confidential, only summary data will be given back to the European Outdoor Group.
The result of the survey will be used to help guide the European Outdoor Group as it makes it decision in January. The current contract for the show with Messe Friedrichshafen expires in 2008. The decision of where to hold the show will be voted upon by members in a ‘secret ballot’ on the 26 January, the day before ispo Winter starts, and the outcome will be announced at a press conference on the 30 January.
New Members
Several new members have been welcomed into membership including international footwear manufacturer Merrell, performance outdoor footwear brand Kamik, Italian trekking shoe company Aku and leading pole manufacturer Komperdell with other companies still waiting to join the organisation.
