Utah’s Women’s Epic Race Empowers More Women to Get Outside

Brighton Resort, UT, December 2021 – Women’s Epic, the first trail race in Utah created specifically for all levels of adventure-seeking women, is excited to announce they are doubling in size after just one race season. Giving more women the opportunity to get outside and hit the trails.

“The first Women’s Epic race sold out months in advance. Beginner-to-elite athletes of every age, from all over the country participated,” says Ashlee Hinds, Women’s Epic Race Director. “After seeing the response from the first event, we discovered there is a huge gap for women in the trail running space. Women’s Epic will host two trail races next summer with the intention to continue to fill that gap and empower more women in the outdoors.”

The 2022 Women’s Epic Race lineup will consist of two events:

• Southern Utah – Brian Head Resort, June 25
• Northern Utah – Brighton Resort, July 30

Women’s Epic is designed for participants of all skill-levels to hike, jog, or run their journey to the top of world-class resorts. Each participant receives a training guide to prepare to race approximately five to six miles with a 2000 feet vertical climb.

“It only made sense to us that if women were going to be coming from all over the nation to join us on the mountain that every detail of the event had to be amazing from start to finish,” says Jodi Horton, Women’s Epic Marketing Director. “We started thinking outside of the box when it came to racing, and we believe that every woman who participates in our events feels the love put into every detail.”
