NEW YORK – Aug. 22, 2006 – EverlastÂ® Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: EVST), manufacturer, marketer and licensor of sporting goods, apparel footwear and other active lifestyle products under the Everlast brand name, today announced a new extension of their license with Sports & Leisure Technology Corporation, a division of Sportline, Inc. to make fitness related toys and heart rate monitors in the United States and Canada.
This product line, which will be sold in various retailers, will include boxing related toys, games and kits. These boxing fitness toys will be developed to encourage youth fitness training at an early age. Everlast and Sports and Leisure believe these products will promote good fitness habits to children at an early age and help them to stay more active throughout life.
The newly signed agreement will also include heart rate monitors. The heart rate monitors will aid in increasing peak athletic performance and provide encouragement to improve the condition of the average fitness regimen. The agreement to produce these new products represents an expansion of Everlast’s longstanding relationship with Sports and Leisure, which has developed high quality hand held fitness related equipment as a licensee for Everlast in the U.S. over the past five years.
