December 8, 2010 (Buena Park, CA) – Footwear manufacturer evolv Sports announced today the addition of legendary climber Peter Croft and traditional climbing young-gun Matt Segal to their climbing team.

Matt Segal, born in Miami, FL, has become one of the hardest working trad climbers in recent years. His focus is directed more at the hardest shorter routes all over the world after many years at the top of the comp circuit. Segal says, “I’m psyched on joining team Evolv. It seems like the obvious evolution to work with an American company who not only makes an amazing product but is doing so with an environmental and local outlook.

Peter Croft, long-time legendary climber with first ascents world wide, is one of the most prolific and respected members of the climbing community and beyond for his dedication to the sport and the places it exists as an advocate, writer and climber. “I’m psyched to be joining the team at Evolv and looking forward to be part of a local California climbing company,” says Croft. “Obviously it’s been big fun to test drive the models available now but I’m also excited to developing something new in the future.”
