Tukwila, WA – In its ongoing efforts to support adventures that make a difference, ExOfficio is providing Proper Walk participants with adventure travel apparel for their August 2008 walk.
Proper Walk 2008 is the fourth biannual walkathon created by Michael Farley. Each of its ten participants agrees to raise a minimum of $10,000 to assist AIDS orphans of Makindu, Kenya and to help to raise AIDS awareness for the AIDS pandemic. The Walk will take place August 11 – 21 in the Rift Valley in Kenya’s northern frontier.

About Proper Walk
The Proper Walk is an “adventure for a cause” created by Michael Farley, a former Peace Corps volunteer stationed in Makindu, Kenya East Africa. The Proper Walk is a biannual event that raises money for the Makindu Children’s Program (MCP), a 501c-3 supporting the MCC (Makindu Children’s Centre). The MCC is a day use facility that cares for more than 300 AIDS orphans and other vulnerable children in Makindu. Each walker raises a minimum of $10,000 and pays their own way to walk in the Northern Frontier of Kenya to assist the AIDS orphans of Makindu and to help raise AIDS awareness.
