Golden, CO (July 1, 2014) – Mountainsmith—craftsmen of iconic backcountry equipment and recreational outdoor gear—have been working with renowned outdoor and surf photographer Chris Burkard to help shape their new 2015 catalog. The creative partnership showcases both Mountainsmith’s product line and Burkard’s craftsmanship in the best light; the new catalog will be available at this year’s Summer Outdoor Retailer Show in August.
Burkard has made a name as one of the outdoor and action sport industries’ most coveted photographers with a portfolio that incorporates landscape, lifestyle, surf, outdoor, and travel subjects. He’s known for capturing offbeat landscapes, wild and remote destinations, and humans in contrast to nature. His vivid style has amassed a large following on social media channels and his work has appeared in Surfer Magazine, The New Yorker, National Geographic Adventure, and on ESPN.com.
Mountainsmith’s partnership with Burkard on its newest catalog, includes photos taken at Mt. Shasta, Smith Rock, and on the Oregon Coast. Product images include the Mountain Dome 2 and 3 tents as well as the Cordova, Arapaho, and Ptarmigan sleeping bags.
