Farm to Feet hits the road for 2016 with Backpacker’s Get Out More Tour and the Live Outside and Play tour

Mt. Airy, North Carolina (May 4, 2016) — This spring Farm to Feet, makers of 100% American socks, has teamed up with Backpacker’s Get Out More Tour and the Live Outside and Play tour to introduce the brand to new audiences and educate outdoors enthusiasts on the importance of sock fit and construction.

“These are two of the premier tours in the country for promoting outdoor education and participation,” said David Petri, Farm to Feet VP of marketing. “We are excited for consumers around the country to have the opportunity to try our socks and experience our 100 percent American difference.”

Backpacker’s Get Out More Tour, in its 16th year, travels to over 60 retail stores and events across the country from May through November to inspire and educate about the skills and equipment needed to explore and enjoy the outdoors. 

At each retail stop, outdoor expert Randy Propster will lead a 75-minute seminar on trip planning, proper outdoor gear and apparel selection, outdoor safety and much more. He will share trail-tested tips, as well as useful trip advice specific to each stops region.

For a second year Farm to Feet is participating in Blue Ridge Outdoors’ Live Outside and Play tour. This year they have partnered with its Rocky Mountain based sister publication Elevation Outdoors’ and have added a full roster of events in Colorado during the summer. The Colorado tour is bookended by tours through the Southeast in the spring in fall, for a total of 20 stops at events and festivals. Additionally, the tour will conduct separate meet-ups the with locals, businesses, and outdoor advocacy groups along the way.
