Farm to Feet names sock for The Conservation Alliance

Mt. Airy, North Carolina, (FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE)— Farm to Feet, makers of 100% American socks, has named one of its lead models for Fall 2014 after The Conservation Alliance’s hometown of Bend, OR. Farm to Feet will donate a portion of sales from the sock to the organization that engages outdoor industry companies to protect wild places for their habitat and recreation values.
“All of our socks are named after locations associated with our supply chain or a valued business
partner. We are proud to add The Conservation Alliance and Bend to the list of towns we celebrate,” said David Petri, Farm to Feet vice president of marketing. “The work that The Conservation Alliance does ensures that generations to follow will be able to enjoy the wild places that we cherish.”
Packaging of the medium weight crew sock in Farm to Feet’s new stylized traditional hiking construction will feature Conservation Alliance’s Executive Director John Sterling on the men’s style, and the organization’s Program Director Serena Bishop Gordon on the women’s.
“We are honored and thankful to have one of Farm to Feet’s wonderful socks named for us,” said Sterling. “Their contributions will help us to continue our work of protecting North America’s wild places for their habitat and recreation values.”
The Bend socks will retail for $19 with a percentage of sales benefiting The Conservation Alliance.
During the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City, UT, Farm to Feet will be selling the socks from 3 to 6pm in its booth (BR409) for $5 with all proceeds going to The Conservation Alliance.
The Farm to Feet Bend sock and the rest of its Fall 14 collection of hiking, everyday, and sporting socks will be available at specialty outdoor retailers nationwide in the late summer of 2014.
