Mt. Airy, North Carolina — Farm to Feet, makers of 100% American socks, has entered into a strategic partnership with America’s Ski City (a.k.a. Salt Lake) as part of the launch of its new Cottonwood Collection of backcountry socks. The partnership will be kicked off at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, January 10, during the Ski City/ Farm to Feet Backcountry Barbecue in the Farm to Feet booth (32182) at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City.

“Our new backcountry socks were developed in the canyons of their namesake and partnering with Ski City was a natural fit,” said David Petri, Farm to Feet VP of marketing.

Along with naming the new collection the Official sock of Ski City, Farm to Feet will feature Ski City prominently on the sock packaging and provide socks to Ski City for its events and promotional activities. Additionally, Farm to Feet will participate in Ski City’s 10th Annual Shootout, a weeklong photo contest featuring some of the best professional photographers and skiers from around the country.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Farm to Feet in their naming and celebration of the iconic Cottonwood Canyons, where our four world-class resorts — as well as some of the world’s finest backcountry skiing and riding — are located,” said Scott Beck, President & CEO of Visit Salt Lake/Ski City. “Bringing together the finest in-bounds and backcountry skiing with the finest socks in the industry is a natural partnership, and one were proud to be a part of.”

The Cottonwood Collection includes two styles, the Big and Little Both socks feature the new Wool2 toe box for additional warmth and reinforced ankle zones for extra comfort and support when walking or pivoting.

The two partners are bringing together the best from both of their backyards for the Backcountry Barbecue at Outdoor Retailer. Farm to Feet is flying in North Carolina’s famous Skylight Inn BBQ for the event, while Ski City will be serving up Uinta’s 801 pilsner.

Along with great food and drink they will be giving away socks and three Backcountry Barbecue packs filled with backcountry gear valued over $600. Deuter has provided three of its backcountry packs, each filled with Farm to Feet socks, a shovel and probe from Ortovox, Fly Low gloves, Smith goggles, Masterfit insoles, and a pair of Ski City Super Passes that give direct-to-lift access to any of Ski City’s partner resorts- Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, and Solitude.

The Cottonwood Collection will be available at retailers in the Wasatch and beyond in the Fall of 2017 and online at www.farmtofeet.com.
