Farm to Feet, makers of 100% American socks, has been named the official sock of FloydFest, the South’s preeminent music festival, for a second year. This year Farm to Feet will feature the winner of the On the Rise contest, a competition featuring up and coming acts voted on by festival attendees, on the Floyd sock packaging.
“As an up and coming sock brand we understand what it’s like to try to break out on the scene and by featuring the winning band on our packaging we hope we can help them reach new fans,” said David Petri, Farm to Feet Marketing VP.

Along with national acts, FloydFest showcases new and up and coming bands through its On the Rise program. During the festival, attendees vote for the “On the Rise” band they like best with the band with the most votes winning a set on the FloydFest main stage the following year and their photo and story featured on the Floyd sock packaging. Last year’s On the Rise winner, Look Homeward (http://www.lookhomewardmusic.com) of Raleigh, NC, is featured on the packaging of this year’s Floyd sock.
For FloydFest, Farm to Feet created the Floyd, a lightweight sock with a design inspired by the festival’s beautiful surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains and amazing music. For 2016 four new colorways have been added to the Floyd line-up giving showgoers and music lovers alike more options to match their style and musical taste. The socks will be available for purchase at the Farm To Feet booth in the Outdoor Experience Tent at the festival, through Farm to Feet’s retail partners, and online at http://www.farmtofeet.com.
The 2016 FloydFest takes place July 27-31, 2016 in Floyd, VA. Musicians scheduled to perform this year include Gregg Allman, Warren Haynes Ashes & Dust, Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemaker, and many more.
