Currently, the so-called “FIBO Spain” causes irritations in the fitness industry. FIBO, the Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health, and Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH as its organizer explicitly dissociate themselves from this planned event and have commissioned legal clarification of the matter.
FIBO Event Director Olaf Tomscheit says: “The Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health is the holder of the FIBO brand rights for Europe and beyond and reserves legal action.” In the Spanish market, FIBO has been successfully cooperating for many years with Sports Unlimited Valencia, an event organized by Reed Exhibitions Iberia.
About FIBO 2012
Every year in spring, the international fitness industry meets at FIBO in Essen; the next event will be held from 19 to 22 April 2012. About 600 exhibitors from more than 35 countries are expected. Innovations are the hallmark of the Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health. Increasingly, therefore, companies from outside Europe also use FIBO to stage the world premieres of their products as a result, this is the largest trade show for innovations in the industry. State-of-the-art training equipment, intelligent health promotion concepts under the umbrella of the FIBOmed concept which was specifically developed for this segment in 2008 already, up-to-date specialist lectures and action-packed events: FIBO not only offers the best overview of the market but also direct contact to companies and their innovations. It is therefore not surprising that around 60,000 visitors from 100 countries are expected to flock to Essen. All those wishing to experience the international industry trends in a single location come to FIBO. Not only trade visitors, however, but also private fitness enthusiasts get their moneys worth at FIBO, especially in the FIBOactive segment. FIBO will move to Cologne in 2013 to cater for its steady growth and increasingly international character.
