First CGear Sand-Free Multimats Available in U.S. For Camping and General Outdoor Use This May at Key Retailers
Australian Brand on Track for Building U.S. Presence with Appointment of
Sales Rep and Opening of U.S. Warehouse
HONG KONG (April 8, 2010) – Building upon its entry into the U.S. market during Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, CGear (www.cgear-sandfree.com), creators of a mat that enables dirt and sand to pass through to the ground but not come back up on the mat, announced that its first product in the United States will be available next month at key retailers including Sports Chalet. In addition, the brand has established a U.S. warehouse in southern California and named a U.S. sales representative.
Torry Moore, based out of Winona, Minnesota, will handle sales in the Midwest (torrym@hbci.com). The warehouse handling all U.S. orders is located in Tustin, California and will begin shipping as of May 22.
The CGear Sand-Free Multimat, will be available online at www.cgear-sandfree.com in various sizes and colors. Each lightweight CGear Sand-Free Multimat (the 10ft x 10ft mat is only 8.5 lbs) comes with a carry bag.
“We had a very positive reception at our first U.S. trade show last January,” noted Ben Kerr, director of CGear. “We have seen tremendous success with military use because of the solid benefit we provide for helicopters when they land. This technology has been adapted for the U.S. market which seems to be resonating strongly with consumers and retailers.”
“As consumers continue to look to the outdoors for fitness and a way to spend time with family, our products provide an easy to use, versatile solution at an excellent price point for camping, gardening or heading to the beach. We are on the only product of its kind in the U.S. marketplace.”
About CGear: CGear Australia Pty. Ltd. was established in May 2003 to hold patents that cover technology of multi-layered nylon material, a mat that allows dirt and sand to pass through to the ground but not come back up on the mat. With continual research and development, CGear introduced products for use by the military and the outdoor recreational markets. The CGear Sand-Free Multimat is currently available to consumers throughout Australia and will be available in the U.S. in May 2010. For more information, visit: www.cgear-sandfree.com.
