Denver, CO— First Descents, a non-profit organization providing outdoor adventure therapy for young adults with cancer announces its largest fundraising event of the year, the 6th Annual FD Ball on March 31st 2012. Nearly 450 people attended last year’s FD Ball, raising $320,000 to send at least 300 young adults fighting cancer to a free adventure therapy program.
The hat-themed FD Ball includes a five-star dinner from Spago chefs, a top-shelf open bar and live and silent fundraising auctions. A musical performance by Funkiphino and inspirational entertainment will make it a memorable evening for all.
“Each year, it’s clear that the FD Ball is more than just a fundraiser. It’s an opportunity to celebrate the spirit and strength of everyone First Descents has touched,†said First Descents Founder Brad Ludden. “No one walks away from the ball without being inspired. Of course we’re also looking forward to breaking last year’s amazing fundraising level! “
