Fischer Skis Extends Staff and Support

High-end brand adds staff, program support, & opens SLC showroom.
AUBURN, NH – September 5, 2017

Fischer Skis US LLC announced several new staff positions and the formal opening of a Salt Lake City Showroom Space. “What we’re aiming for is a previously unseen level of service and support in the industry,“ Explained Ryan Leach, CEO of Fischer Skis US, LLC. He continued, ”We will devote significant resources to further develop a market leading alpine position to match our category leading nordic position with an aim to deepen our boot, binding, pole and branded accessory business. These key hires and new space will support that effort.”
Three new hires include Mike Wagner to the newly created position of Competition Coordinator. A thirty-year veteran of the industry, Wagner brings insights from a wealth of perspectives, having worked closely with wax and tool manufacturing and supported athletes across all levels of competition through a variety of roles.
“From World Cup and Olympic Race Service, to coaching and being the parent of ski racers, he brings not only years of experience, but a wider perspective to the role of Competition Services,” described Ryan Leach, Fischer Skis US, LLC President and CEO. He continued,
Wagner agreed adding, “I’ve always believed in Fischer being one of the premier ski and boot brands in the world and now with such strong organization in place with Fischer US, I am confident they will match their alpine success as the Nordic Industry Leader, in no time.”
With no significant change in the day to day business operating practices in Fischer’s Race Department, it promises to be a seamless transition for existing customers and athletes. Wagner begins his position effective immediately and can be reached at michael.wagner@fischersports.com.
Neil Totman is the second of the three hires, assuming the role of New England Sales Representative. ”I’m super stoked to be a part of the Fischer Family,” Totman said of the new position. “From race to free ride to all day, all mountain comfort, I’ve yet to find a more well rounded ski brand for all skiers.”
Joining Totman and Wagner, Kevin Warnock assumes the role as Mid-Atlantic sales representative for Fischer Skis US, LLC. “I am extremely excited for this opportunity – especially with a brand like Fischer Skis US and its long history of producing high performance skis and boots. I also look forward to working in a territory where I received my first opportunity in the ski industry, 9 years ago.”
Additionally, long-time Nordic Sales rep group, the Atlantic Sport Group will expand their Nordic coverage to include and grow the remainder of NY, along with NJ, PA and W VA. Principal and founder, Harold Mullens described the expansion to his four-rep group simply, “Fischer has been one of our key vendor partners for over 25 years and we look forward to expanding our coverage and helping Mid-Atlantic retailers grow the lead Nordic brand.
Finally, Fischer Skis US, LLC will open a Western Showroom, training room and office space for Fischer Skis US, LLC Staff at 331 Rio Grande. “It adds a critical location where we need it in the heart of the Rocky Mountain West,” described director of business development, Scott Ford who will be based out of the Salt Lake office. The space will operate year round serving as a key meeting spot for staff, media and athletes.
