Keb Eco-Shell® Collection Available Beginning in August 2015
(Boulder, CO) January 21, 2015 — In Fall-Winter 2015, heritage outdoor brand Fjällräven will expand its technical product range with the launch of the Keb Eco-Shell® collection, a line of high performance, sustainable hardshells. A Fjällräven milestone, the offering features weatherproof, breathable and sustainable outerwear and trousers for men and women. The Keb Eco-Shell® collection will be available beginning in August 2015 at specialty outdoor stores, Fjällräven flagship retail locations and online at www.fjallraven.us.
Fjällräven introduces its Eco-Shell® fabrication as a wind and waterproof solution best suited for rapid hikes over any terrain. Durable and lightweight, the fabrication has four-way stretch for a free range of motion. The high breathability material is combined with sealed seams to keep the elements out while allowing body moisture to escape efficiently. The advanced performance fabric is made with fluorocarbon-free recycled polyester making the Keb Eco-Shell® series the most environmentally conscious hardshell collection on the market. To further the sustainable footprint, the Eco-Shell® garments can be recycled at the end of the product lifestyle, and any unavoidable emissions that occur during production and transport are climate compensated.

Keb Eco-Shell® Jacket | $500.00
Inspired by Fjällräven’s top selling technical jacket, the Keb Jacket, the Keb Eco-Shell® Jacket is updated with a fluorocarbon-free Eco-Shell® fabrication resulting in a shell that is suitable for outdoor pursuits in wet conditions. The waterproof functionality of the jacket is reinforced with an Aquaguard front zipper. Zippered ventilation openings at the jacket sides allow for increased airflow when quick temperature adjustments are needed. Additional features include: a three-way adjustable hood, a drawcord adjustment at the bottom hem, and two vertical chest pockets with mesh interiors for no-fuss access to essentials. Keb Eco-Shell® Parka | $600.00
The Keb Eco-Shell® Parka debuts as the first long cut silhouette in the Keb product family. Built for colder conditions, the technical piece features a high-loft mesh insulation combined with an Eco-Shell® exterior for wind and waterproof capabilities. A three-way adjustable hood with detachable faux fur trim, as well as adjustable details at the waist, bottom hem and sleeve cuffs, provide extra protection from the elements. Additional features include: two large zippered chest pockets, two bellow pockets with side openings at the bottom front of the jacket, and zippered ventilation openings at the sides.
Keb Eco-Shell® Anorak | $475.00
Designed for four season use and varying weather conditions, the Keb Eco-Shell® Anorak is constructed with the three-layer Eco-Shell® fabrication and a slightly longer cut at the back for extra protection. The pullover silhouette features an adjustable hood, bottom hem and sleeves to help seal out wind on harsher days. A two-way Aquaguard front zipper aids in ventilation. Additional features include: two large zippered chest pockets with elastic mesh interiors and zippered ventilation side openings. Keb Eco-Shell® Trousers, $400.00
Modeled after Fjällräven’s award-winning Keb Trousers, the Keb Eco-Shell® Trousers are best suited for alpine trekking in all weather conditions. The trousers are reinforced with Cordura® fabrication panels at the bottom hems and seat for increased durability in hardwearing areas. Built with a relaxed fit, the trousers be layered over another set of pants for colder conditions. Two-way, Aquaguard zippers at the sides can be opened for increased ventilation. Two spacious leg pockets with concealed bellows and two zippered hand pockets help store essentials. The trousers will also be offered for women, the Keb Eco-Shell® Trousers W.
Keb Eco-Shell® Bib Trousers, $450.00
The Keb Eco-Shell® Bib Trousers offer a versatile pant option for outdoor winter activities, including: ski touring and cold-weather trekking. The technical bib-pant features integrated snow gaiters with button and Velcro closures, adjustable suspenders, and fixed adjustable leg endings with concealed boot hooks. An elastic back panel at the waist allows for freedom of movement and for the accommodation of additional layers. The trousers are reinforced with Cordura® paneling at the knees, inner lower legs and pant bottoms for increased durability. Equipped with two zippered leg pockets and a small zippered pocket at the waist, the bib trousers provide secure access to personal items.
