After several years of research and development to explore a better tent design, Fjällräven redefined the definition of better. To the brand, better meant lightweight, however lightweight was not enough of a solution on its own. Better needed to encompass other core values the brand stood for— durability, functionality and sustainability. Fjällräven shifted from designing all tents for general conditions to focusing on building specialized models for specific outdoor uses. The tent collection offers an option for all environments. From simple everyday adventures, to challenging and extreme pursuits, the Fjällräven tent offering allows users to stretch limits, test boundaries and explore more of nature and life. The design team not only shaved grams off every detail, but created final models that did not compromise Fjällräven’s high standards of hardwearing durability, usability, reliability and traceability.
Fjällräven will launch its tent category in North America for the Spring-Summer 2016 season with an upgraded line of technical tents fit for all levels of adventure. The brand will offer 16 new tent models within two product families, the Keb line for demanding expeditions and the Abisko series for lightweight trekking. Using its early award-winning tents as a design platform, Fjällräven will elevate its tent collection with new constructions, reduced weight, PFC-free materials and thoughtful functionalities resulting in a collection that is lighter than ever, but also stronger and more sustainable within respective use categories. The Fjällräven tent collection will be available in North America beginning in February 2016 at specialty outdoor stores, Fjällräven flagship retail locations and online at www.fjallraven.us.
The full tent collection will be available to preview at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah from August 5 – 8, 2015. To schedule an appointment or to request further information on the product range, please contact kim.rodgers@turnerpr.com.
