Annapolis, Md. – Fleet Feet Sports, the local retail leader in building and supporting the Annapolis running community, will relocated its location this spring, says local co-owners Marty and Scott Broerman. Set to open in the popular Annapolis Harbour Center, the new location includes 600 more square-feet of space than the current location.
In addition to adding more retail space, the move allows Fleet Feet Sports to join retailers including Pure Barre, Athleta, and The Fresh Market in providing a health and fitness-shopping destination for customers.
“Our number one goal has always been to provide the best service, experience, and products possible to our customers,” says Scott Broerman. “Our move to a larger, more readily-accessible location this spring furthers that goal and allows us to continue serving and empowering the Annapolis running and fitness community in a really exciting way.”
Both veterans of the U.S. Navy, the Broermans opened the current Fleet Feet Sports location in Annapolis in 2007. In addition to renowned products and service, the store offers training program for runner of all abilities and ages, including the nationally recognized No Boundaries 5K ad 10K programs, as well as Zoomerang KIDS, an initiative that empowers children to begin and enjoy running.
The Broermans opened a second local Fleet Feet Sports location in Severna Park in 2013, bringing the total number of Fleet Feet Sports locations in Maryland to four. The Broermans will announce more specific details of planned festivities tied to the grand opening of the new location later this spring.
The Broermans and their two locations are part of Fleet Feet Sports’ national footprint of 157 locally-owned, community-oriented running retailers across 37 states and Washington D.C., all supported by the brand’s nations headquarters in Carrboro, N.C. Founded n 1976, the brand is the largest franchiser of locally owned-and-operated running stores.
