Flylow Appoints Backbone Media to Handle Social Media

Backbone will aid in Flyflo communication efforts across Facebook, Twitter, the Winter Life Blog, and YouTube.

09.02.2010 – (Denver, CO) Flylow, manufacturer of freeride apparel and ambassador for the soul of skiing, has hired Backbone Media to oversee social media strategy, monitoring, and content generation. Starting today, Backbone will aid in communication efforts across Facebook, Twitter, the Winter Life Blog, and YouTube.

“We are psyched to work with Backbone because they are equally effective launching strategic social media plans as they are launching off into the backcountry on a powder day,” comments Dan Abrams, Flylow Co-Founder. “Their experience with both well-established and start-ups alike will help us grow in Winter 2010 and beyond.”

Flylow stormed into the market in 2004 with a philosophy of designing clothing that is comfortable, durable, fashionable and budget friendly. While gaining acclaim from core skiers and media, Flylow has built their credibility with a mix of well-designed jackets, pants and accessories, progressive colors, and a healthy mix of fun.

“We have skied with the Flylow crew over the years and watched them grow and progress,” explains Penn Newhard, Backbone Media partner. “Their brand has something special in terms of authenticity, a perfect blend of technical features and style for the modern day skier or rider. We are confident they are positioned for future growth and are stoked to partner with them.”

Flylow has a promising winter season ahead of them as several new pieces have been added to both the men’s and women’s lines. The BA Puffy combines warm insulation with huge 15″ pit zips to keep you cool on the way up. The Quantum Jacket may just be the ultimate hardshell—Flylow has worked to create the perfect fit, highest-quality waterproof/breathable fabric, with a flexible, removable powder skirt.
