“We are so happy to welcome Mike to the brand,” said Steve Westover, Marketing Director at Diamondback Bicycles. “We were looking for a great athlete that exemplify what mountain biking is and, with Mike’s amazing riding style and his fun and easy going personality, we immediately knew he was a perfect fit.”

Mike Hopkins is a professional mountain biker and big mountain skier from Rossland B.C. Canada, where he began both skiing and mountain biking at an early age. His passion for riding and strong work ethic landed him roles in popular bike movies such as Life Cycles and From the Inside Out. In addition to his film and photography projects, Hopkins also is a regular at the Red Bull Rampage, the sport’s paramount freeride event held in Virgin Utah. Hopkins’s other sponsors include: Smith Optics, IXS, Shimano, SR Suntour, Gravity Components, Easton Wheels, Dissent Labs, Camelbak, Juicy Studios, Revolution Cycles, 5.10 and Uncle Tim’s Maple Syrup.

Hopkins will join Eric Porter, Carson Storch and Simon Lawton to complete the 2015 roster. Diamondback will also be launching a Mountain Bike specific Facebook page, dedicated to its mountain athletes and supporting the sprit of getting out on the trail and riding your bike.
