We are proud to announce the release of our 2011/12 Buyer’s Guide, the largest issue of FREESKIER ever produced. The issue is now available on newsstands, and can be found in nearly 1,000 ski shops nationwide. Look for FREESKIER’s featured promotion in Barnes & Noble’s most prominent US retail locations.

At 260 pages, the ’11/12 Buyer’s Guide is chock-full of product reviews including over 100 in-depth ski reviews, 24 outerwear kits, a 60-page brand guide, a 15-page photo gallery showcasing the gear that the pros use, plus reviews of everything you need for the slopes like goggles, boots and backcountry tools. All this combines to make this Buyer’s Guide the largest and most thorough gear guide in the industry.

FREESKIER’s Buyer’s Guide is comprised of data aggregated during the magazine’s month-long testing period. The main ski test was held on Aspen’s Ajax Mountain; the magazine’s park test was held at Breckenridge; and additional powder ski testing was done with CS Irwin catskiing in Irwin, all in Colorado. In total, more than 60 testers participated in this year’s ski test, accumulating over 5,000 hours on-snow with the gear.

For more than a decade, FREESKIER has remained the defining voice for the industry’s most passionate and progressive skiers. The ’11/12 Buyer’s Guide is an exciting way to kick off the magazine’s 14th season, and to celebrate the renewed vibrancy of the snow-sports industry.
