BANGS switches from canvas to jersey knit for adventure-ready kicks
Austin, TX – August 2, 2017
Adventure inspired footwear company – BANGS Shoes – honors one of their favorite outdoor playgrounds with the new Great Smoky HT, introduced for the start of August. The high top sneakers, that feature the brand’s first jersey knit design, are designed to elevate your adventure factor by at least 6,643 feet (the height of the tallest peak in the Smokies, Clingmans Dome).
“All of our adventure-inspired shoes have been made from 100% canvas up to this point ” said Hannah Davis, founder and CEO of BANGS. “But our Great Smoky High Tops expand our classic aesthetic to include soft jersey knit while maintaining our trademark simplicity built on the shoes I discovered in China.”
The Great Smoky HTs, that are made from 100% vegan materials, are uni-sex sized with special detail to comfort, durability and style. Aluminum eyelets give extra strength to the body of the shoe, with new-age polyester shoelaces accenting the look. The shoe also features a rubber toe cap, sleek heel logo and vulcanized rubber outsole and foxing. The high tops are lined with stripes, because who doesn’t love stripes?!
The Great Smoky HTs are currently in pre-order available to ship at the beginning of August. 20% of all profits from the sale of the shoe, and all BANGS Shoes, are given to their non-profit partner KIVA who provides recyclable loans for entrepreneurs worldwide.
