Vancouver, British Columbia (August 24, 2011) – With winter quickly approaching, backcountry-skiing enthusiasts the world over are patiently waiting to earn their turns in deep powder, or “tiefschnee,” for German-speaking skiers. With its business in German-speaking markets growing, G3, manufacturer of industry-leading gear for backcountry skiing, announced the addition this month of a German-speaking version of its web site.

The German version of the G3 site complements Japanese and French versions, which were added two years ago. A significant increase in traffic on the other foreign language sites, along with growing interest in its product line in German-speaking parts of Europe, prompted G3 to launch the German version, said Oliver Steffen, G3 president and founder.
“We want to make it easy for our consumers, no matter their language, to learn about the G3 brand and our product line,” Steffen said.

Along with helping to inform consumers in German-speaking areas about G3 skis, bindings, climbing skins and other backcountry accessories, the new site will benefit G3’s distributors, ICON in Switzerland, and Elementum in Austria and Germany, Steffen said. All of the foreign language versions are navigable from the homepage of the G3 website.
