#G3ShowSkin Contest Inspires Skiers to Get Creative

Back-hair or leg-wax solution? Maybe. It’s entirely up to you.

Vancouver, B.C. (Mar. 21, 2016)– G3 makes the highest performing, most advanced climbing skins in the world, and, along with best-in-class functionality, G3 also builds 10 different models of skins, using the widest range of materials available in a skin line. Ninety-nine percent of the time, those utilitarian facts are all you need to know when it comes to climbing skins for your skis.

But each Spring G3 ushers forth the other 1 percent of time with its annual #G3ShowSkin contest, encouraging the most creative (sometimes downright un-functional) uses of the world’s most advanced skin technology.

The question then becomes, what will you do to show your skins in action? G3 embraces it all. From the comical to the more “traditional” uses of G3 skins amidst backcountry action, tag your photos of how you use your skins.

“Because they’re the best, G3 skins are everywhere in the backcountry,” said Dustin Butcher, G3 Marketing & Creative, “Which makes them super-accessible for post-tour ridiculousness in all it’s forms. We’ve seen some pretty great uses of G3 skins in the four years we’ve been doing the Show Skin contest, but we know there’s more out there.”

Between March 21 and April 10, 2016, G3 fans are encouraged to submit the imaginative ways they use G3 skins on Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag, #G3ShowSkin. We want to see gnarly lines, improvised clothing and anything and everything in between. So get out there and get creative with your posts.

Entries that catch the G3 judges’ eyes will be eligible to win G3 gear. One grand prize winner will win a G3 gear package worth more than $500. The Grand Prize includes G3 Alpinist Climbing Skins (or Splitboard Skins), G3 Utility Straps, a G3 SpadeTECH Shovel, G3 SpeedTECH Probe and a host of good-looking G3 schwag.
