“After a successful first full year delivering footwear in the United States, we see great opportunity in the Canadian market,” said Bill Dodge, CEO of Garmont North America. “The Garmont brand already has a strong reputation in Canada. Our quality product is ideal for Canadian outdoor adventurers and we are seeing positive feedback from key retail partners.”
Prior to Garmont, Bergeron worked in sales, retail and marketing capacities for Trango World, La Sportiva, Kayland, and Icebug. To date, he has appointed sales teams in Alberta, British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec to support Garmont. Darin Riedel will represent Garmont in Alberta and British Columbia; Bill Dee will support Ontario; Adam Merkosky will represent Alberta and the Northwest Territories; and Bergeron will manage the Quebec / Maritimes territory.
“We are thrilled to bring Garmont back to Canada,” said Stephen Bergeron. “Consumers have been asking for the a.d.d. fit they have come to trust for their adventures.”
Garmont is known for its tried and true fit – Anatomically Directed Design (a.d.d.). a.d.d. starts by looking at the anatomy of the foot to determine the best design for superior performance. With precise shaping, utilization of the best materials and how the different materials act together.
Garmont’s designs harmonize all these considerations to enhance the user’s fit and experience. Elements of a.d.d. include: more room for the first metatarsal enhancing balance; an asymmetrical lace closure system allowing the foot to flex naturally; a lateral tongue post that places more padding on the outside to keep the heel in the pocket; plus asymmetrical heel cuffs and ankle pockets for a more custom fit.
Better boots that are better made bring you better adventures. With 50 years of mountain culture, Garmont is a performance footwear brand committed to creating premium shoes and boots Garmont believes innovation is defined by the meaningful selection of the best quality components and constructions, all built into designs that enhance fit and movement in support of your mountain experiences. www.garmontnorthamerica.com. 1-844-GARMONT. #StayWild
