WILLISTON, VERMONT – Garmont North America, designers of high-performance ski boots and technical outdoor footwear, has selected Pale Morning Media as their public relations agency of record, effective August 1, 2010.

Known for numerous sport-specific innovations and a performance fit supported by Anatomically Directed Design, Garmont’s exceptional product line includes award-winning alpine, alpine touring and telemark ski boots; and outdoor footwear for mountaineering, backpacking, hiking and trail sports.

“As the appetite for Garmont innovations continues to grow, so does the demand for information about our unique brand,” said Gord Bailey, president of Garmont. “Pale Morning Media’s diverse experience in public relations, creative communications and social media will help us spread the word about our newest endeavors, and to engage our customers wherever they want to find us.”

Based in Vermont’s Mad River Valley, Pale Morning Media is a public relations, brand strategy and creative communications agency with a dedicated focus on the outdoor world. Founded in 2001, their client roster includes leading technical and lifestyle brands from throughout North America and Europe in the outdoor, travel and leisure markets.

“True innovators like Garmont are a rare breed in the outdoor marketplace,” said Drew Simmons, president of Pale Morning Media. “Their continual efforts to raise the bar of product design are matched only by the spirit of today’s greatest outdoor adventurers.”

For Spring 2011, Garmont will unveil the Amica Collection, their first technical footwear assortment designed by and for women, as well as the Zenith Collection; a progressive lineup of performance trail shoes for men. To be debuted at the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Summer Market show, both collections are built on gender specific lasts with proprietary outsole, midsole and fit innovations.

For Fall 2010, Garmont’s ski collection is led by the high performance Masterlite and Literider alpine touring boots, a pair of dynamic lightweight designs that uniquely target the growing space between touring and racing. Developed by Garmont engineers over the last two years, the Masterlite and Literider feature a unique spiderweb “Webframe” shell which shaves hundreds of grams per boot while still maintaining the critical elements needed for solid structure and high performance.

Garmont is also introducing a trio of women-specific telemark boots – the Athena, Minerva and Priestess NTN – elevating the level of fit and innovation for female skiers through anatomical shaping, increased flexibility and decisive lateral stiffness.

Sharing the spotlight for fall 2010 is the Momentum GTX, a lightweight technical winter boot for winter hiking and snowshoeing. Built in both men’s and women-specific profiles, the Momentum GTX features 400-gram Thinsulateâ„¢ insulation and a unique Garmont G-Grip dual density outsole that provides reliable traction even in extreme conditions.
