GetOutfitted launches retro onesie rental program and donates portion of sales to Leave No Trace

Today, GetOutfitted, the “Rent the Runway” of ski apparel, added a collection of vintage ski onesies to their rental platform. Yep, ski onesies. One of the best (or worst) ski trends from the 80’s and 90’s (we will forever be fans).
“For the last few years, Mike Mueller, our VP of Sales and Marketing, has been impulsively picking up eccentric onesies from thrift shops in various mountain towns that he visits,” says Nicole Roosien, Creative Director at GetOutfitted. “When he revealed that his collection had grown to a whopping 22+ onesies, we realized we needed to add them to the website, for everyone else to enjoy. The onesies are, after all, in mint condition, exceptionally warm and irresistibly fun to wear—so why not prolong their landfill-doom by offering them some more fresh turns?”
And to celebrate reusing these fun onesies, GetOutfitted also wanted to use their rental web platform as a way to give back to the mountains we all gain so much from while skiing.
Although an incredible way for people to get outside, be active and appreciate nature, skiing can adversely affect the environment and our beautiful landscapes with such a high impact of use in condensed areas. So, to help raise awareness and educate people on this environmental impact, as well as give back to the habitats we cherish, we’re donating 20% of each onesie rental sale to the Leave No Trace conservation research and education efforts, a One Percent for the Planet nonprofit member.
Starting today, onesie rental packages start at $25 per day and include a onesie, goggles and gloves. Onesie options range in size and color and are from brands like Obermeyer, Bogner, Descente, Nevica, Nils, The North Face and more.
