Demonstrating Leadership in Designing Products that Enhance the Ride
(October 28; Santa Cruz, California) Giro Sport Design, the industry leader in progressive snow helmet and optics technologies, is proud to announce it has been recognized for delivering revolutionary new product for the 2015/2016 winter season: the Range MIPS helmet with CONFORM Fit Technology and MIPS, the Contact Goggle with the new SNAPSHOT Magnetic Lens Interchange System, and the women’s specific Field Goggle with EXV Expansion View Technology and Lens by ZEISS. All three styles have received editorial awards by top endemic publications such as Powder, Freeskier Magazine, and Transworld Snowboarding Magazine.
The revolutionary new Range MIPS Helmet ($240 MSRP) design utilizes a 2-piece shell and truly integrated fit system to create an adaptive fit helmet with CONFORM Fit Technology that literally forms to every rider’s head shape by expanding and contracting with the turn of a dial. The Range’s durable yet semi-flexible construction wraps around the head to provide the lowest-profile fit Giro has ever created to provide an unsurpassed custom fit and comfort. Premium performance and functional features like MIPS Technology, Adjustable Venting, an integrated GoPro® Camera mount, and Fidlock® Magnetic buckle closure complete this cutting edge design. This state-of-the-art helmet won awards and Editors’ Pick from Freeskier Magazine, Transworld Snowboarding, Powder, and Backpacker Magazine. Plus Gear of the Year from National Geographic Adventurer.

The breakthrough design of the all-new flagship EXV Contact Goggle ($240 MSRP) makes it easier than ever to adapt instantly to changing weather and light conditions. With a lens featuring self-locating magnets and a secure locking mechanism in its semi-frameless design, the EXV Contact sets a new precedence in fast, accurate and secure goggle lens interchange. SNAPSHOT Lens Interchange System allows the shutter button to be depressed for lens removal and effortless magnetic deployment of the new lens. The Contact offers an outstanding field of view, premium optics with Lenses By ZEISS and detailed finishing. Every pair of the Contact includes two lenses (a full-sun/all-conditions lens and a low-light lens), and an ergonomic protective goggle and spare lens case for travel. The EXV Contact Goggle won awards and Editors’ Pick from Freeskier Magazine and Snowboarder Magazine.

Combining stunning style with groundbreaking technology, the Field Goggle($150 MSRP) is Giro’s most advanced women’s specific design featuring an outstanding field of view thanks to EXV Technology. The clean aesthetic of this medium-size semi-frameless design is highlighted by the crystal clear view of its spherical dual Lens by ZEISS, Seamless Compatibility with all Giro helmets, and a full array of fit and function features plus colorways with style for days. The Field was “Tested and Approved” by Transworld Snowboarding for its outstanding innovation and value
