CLINTON, Tenn. – As a performance apparel, sleeping bag and outerwear insulation made from recycled materials, Climashield® Green helps nature lovers go green while going into the great outdoors. More breathable, warmer, lighter, and tougher than cut staple insulation or down, new Climashield Green insulation makes it possible to go green while going anywhere.
Advanced technology goes into the manufacture of Climashield Green. Continuous filament technology takes thousands of continuous strands of polyester and spreads them into a naturally interlocking, superior form of insulation. Unlike cut staple which requires chemical treatment to keep it together, Climashield Green’s recycled continuous filament is naturally durable and stretchable.
Climashield Green keeps moisture out but is breathable so the wearer does not feel clammy. The material is more thermally efficient and also has a 10 percent lower packing volume than cut staple of the same weight and temperature rating.
Continuous fiber insulation is more practical and long-lasting than traditional cut staple insulation. Climashield Green will not pull apart, clump, shift or separate with continued usage and repeated washings. It is also highly compressible but able to regain its loft and shape when released.
Apparel made with Climashield Green allows nature lovers to venture into harsh conditions while helping to protect the environment by choosing superior protective gear.
