Leading Hand Held Fitness Company Teams Up with ALL-STAR Industry Professionals to Offer World Class Education to Consumers

Tulsa, Oklahoma (May 2, 2010) – GoFit, a leading hand held fitness manufacturer, announces a strategic collaboration with several of the most sought after fitness experts in the nation. The alliance will provide consumers with the most current information and education in the fitness industry—including emerging trends, workout tips, safety guidelines, breaking industry news and “insider” celebrity regimens. The team consists of an award-winning group of coveted resources who regularly contribute their knowledge to leading media outlets, and have collectively garnered the highest fitness accreditations, education and certifications in existence. Jim Stoppani, PhD: Jim Stoppani received his doctorate in exercise physiology with a minor in biochemistry from the University of Connecticut. Following graduation, he served as a postdoctoral research fellow in the prestigious John B. Pierce Laboratory and Department of Cellular and Molecular Physiology at Yale University School of Medicine. Currently, he serves as a senior science editor for leading fitness media outlets and has been the personal nutrition and health consultant for numerous celebrity clients such as Dr. Dre, LL Cool J, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Mario Lopez.

Juliet Kaska: Juliet Kaska is the founder of the exclusive Emerson Hall Fitness facilities in Los Angeles, and has obtained a top tier celebrity client list including Sting & Trudie Styler, Pink, Kate Walsh, Mischa Barton, Gerard Butler, Rachael Leigh Cook, Stacy Keibler, Maureen McCormick, Wolfgang Puck, and music mogul Benny Medina. Juliet is regularly featured on programs such as Good Morning America, Dr. Phil, Good Day LA, Entertainment Tonight, E! Kent Katich: Known in the industry as “The Yoga Guru of the NBA”. Los Angeles based Kent Katich is the yoga coach for the LA Clippers and is the only full-time yoga instructor working with an NBA Team in the history of the league. Katich has garnered more than 15-years of experience conducting private training sessions for clients such as NBA All-Star, Reggie Miller; the 2007 NBA MVP, Dirk Nowitzki; NBA All-Star, Baron Davis; the #1 2009 NBA Draft Pick, Blake Griffin; MLB All-Star catcher, Mike Lieberthal; actor George Lopez and even recording artist and rapper, Common. Katich has been featured on Inside the NBA, CNN, ESPN, NBA Access with Ahmad Rashad, GOOD DAY L.A. and Vista LA and has appeared on THE NBA CHANNEL. Mark Verstegen is an internationally-recognized leader and innovator in the world of athletic performance training. He is Founder and Chairman of Athletes’ Performance, which has trained many of the top performers in the world of sports at their state-of-the-art facilities—from NFL first round picks to NFL pro bowlers, from NBA first round picks to World Cup heroes (US Women’s Soccer, German Men’s Soccer), from MLB All-Stars to Major Champions in golf and tennis, Brett Favre, Mia Hamm, Curt Schilling and hundreds of other athletes represented in the NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB. In 2004, Mark’s book Core Performance reached the top 25 on Amazon within six weeks of its release. Mark has subsequently launched two additional books, Core Performance Essentials (2006) and Core Performance Endurance (2007). Andrea Metcalf: Andrea Metcalf holds certifications from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and Optimum Performance Training (OPT) as well as ACE Group Fitness Instructor. Brook Benten: Brook Benten, M.Ed., is President of Cardiopump Fitness, LLC. A few of her certifications include: ACSM-HFS, ACE Personal Trainer, AFAA Group Fitness Instructor, AFPA Nutrition Consultant, YogaFit, Physical Mind Institute, and Kettlebell Concepts Instructor. Brook became a Continuing Education Provider for ACE and AFAA in 2003. She is an Ambassador for Lululemon Athletica. Brook obtained her Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise and Sport Science at Texas State University in May 2003, and her Master’s of Education in Physical Education with emphasis in Fitness Management from The University of Houston in December 2004.
