Goldwin Introduces Made in Japan Lifestyle Capsule Collection For Fall/Holiday 16

Manhattan Beach, CA – October 13, 2016 – GOLDWIN, the Japanese performance ski apparel brand, today announced both the U.S. and Japan launch of their first original lifestyle collection for Fall 2016. This inaugural collection delivers high-end functionality with minimalistic design lines and sleek urban style through the brand’s signature performance driven outerwear and system of layering.
Crafted in Japan, GOLDWIN’s lifestyle collection incorporates techniques that are both timeless and cutting edge, from seam-sealing GORE-TEX fabric to High-frequency adhesion that minimizes sewing. GOLDWIN’s passion and dedication to detail is evident in each piece with every design element carefully considered — from pattern making to the magnetic closures on the garments.
The two centerpieces of the inaugural collection are the Down Mountain Coat and Insulation Mountain Parka.
The Down Mountain Coat is engineered with two-layer GORE-TEX and a highly robust 80-denier fabric developed for high altitude climbing. Kodenshi down absorbs infrared body heat and reflects it back to the wearer using an ultra fine ceramic fiber blend for superior warmth retention while keeping the wearer dry and comfortable. The plush fabric feel crosses the divide between street wear and skiwear.
The Insulation Mountain Parka is engineered with the same GORE-TEX fabric as the Down Mountain coat and completely seam sealed for superior waterproof performance at altitude or in an urban environment. The garment’s lining features Primaloft® insulation which is warm and yet soft and light to the touch. Goldwin has built 50 years of experience providing ultimate mobility in its garments and ski-inspired comfort from the elements.
The navy color of these two styles will be exclusive toSteven Alan and available at their Chelsea and Tribeca locations. Additionally, GOLDWIN will be available at Westerlindand select retailers nationwide this Fall/Holiday.
