NEWMARKET, NH, January 9, 2013 – Expanding on the brand’s mission to relentlessly pursue footwear advancements that truly meet real consumer needs, GoLite Footwear announced their newest line. “This season we have extended our Recovery Shoe series, offering a collection of slip on shoes that surround your foot in memory foam, providing the perfect balance of comfort and just enough compression to promote blood flow and bring your feet back to life after a long day on the trail,” says GoLite Vice President of Sales Jody Linehan. “This collection of shoes offers more than just convenience, it offers stability, comfort and perceivable recovery”.

“We sponsor the Acidotic race team. After three years of observing and talking to trail runners, it is pretty clear the first thing they want to do after a race is take their shoes off. Our challenge was to give them a shoe that delivered what their feet were screaming for … comfort and recovery,” explains GoLite Footwear President Doug Clark. “After a year of observing and brainstorming, and experimenting with multiple prototypes of shoes filled with, believe it or not, ice packs or built with power stretch Lycra, we finally developed a shoe stuffed with memory foam, surrounding the top of your foot, not just the bottom, providing the relief our consumers were looking for.”

Highlights from the collection include the open back leather Elixir for women; the Exit for men; the textile and synthetic Calamus for women; and the Anomaly for men.

This is a collection of recovery shoes that work in the cold and the heat, and can double as fully capable walking or travel shoes as well. GoLite’s new additions to the Recovery collection will join its flagship styles including the Lime Lite and OXT collection – and be sold at premium outdoor specialty stores across the country and prominent online retailers beginning in Fall 2013.
