GoMacro® Gives To Breast Cancer Awareness
Special Cherries + Berries MacroBar™Will Benefit The Keep A Breast Foundation in October

Viola, WI. (Aug 30, 2016) – GoMacro®, known for their delicious, plant-based nutrition bars, is eager to partner with The Keep A Breast Foundation, an organization empowering young people with breast health education and support through unique programs focusing on the arts and non-toxic living. During the month of October, 10% of proceeds from specially marked Cherries + Berries MacroBars™ will be donated to The Keep A Breast Foundation.

Breast Cancer Awareness is a close-to-home cause for GoMacro’s mother / daughter founders, Amelia and Jola. After a breast cancer diagnosis in 2003, Amelia switched to a macrobiotic diet, eliminating all animal products, gluten and refined sugars; a dietary change which led to the creation of the first “MacroBar” in her home kitchen. Over a decade later, Amelia remains cancer-free and GoMacro has grown into an internationally-distributed vegan food company based upon the principles of her clean-eating, cancer recovery diet.

“Breast cancer has affected so many lives, including my mother’s. Many people feel hopeless rather than empowered and don’t realize that they can be in control. The food we eat and the products we use everyday are major contributors to our health and wellness,” said GoMacro Co-Founder and CEO, Jola Sonkin. “That’s why we are excited to partner with Keep A Breast’s unique efforts to provide breast cancer education and awareness through their Non-Toxic Revolution.”

GoMacro has committed to a $50,000 donation, which includes in-kind support for Keep A Breast’s “Fitness for Prevention” campaign in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Specially-marked Cherries + Berries MacroBars (MSRP $2.89) with the Keep A Breast seal can be found nationally at Whole Foods and other participating stores in October. Like all GoMacro products the Cherries + Berries MacroBar is Non-GMO Project Verified, USDA Organic, Kosher Certified, Vegan Certified, Gluten-Free Certified and soy-free.

“We are very excited to partner with GoMacro for the Cherries + Berries Give Back Bar,” shared Shaney Jo Darden, Founder of The Keep A Breast Foundation. “GoMacro’s values align 100% with our mission to empower young people around the world through breast cancer health education and support.”
