{Kittery, ME} – Good To-Go’s Thai Curry, along with 12 other leading outdoor products, was honored with Backpacker magazine’s Editors’ Choice Snow Award, the most prestigious award in the outdoor industry, given annually to products in recognition of their outstanding innovation in design, materials, and performance.

“The depth of fresh, complex flavor is unprecedented for a dehydrated meal,” said Kristin Hostetter, Gear Editor for Backpacker.
Good To-Go was founded by husband and wife David Koorits and Jennifer Scism. Scism is an award-winning chef and long-time co-owner of Annisa, a nationally recognized restaurant in New York’s Greenwich Village. Her career has long been focused on the importance of good food. She has cooked at NY Times 4-Star rated restaurants, traveled to over 20 countries studying regional foods, and along with her team from Annisa, has beaten the Iron Chef, Mario Batali, on the TV Food Network’s Iron Chef program. It’s safe to say Scism knows good food.
“When I learned that Good To-Go’s Thai Curry would be receiving an Editors’ Choice Award from Backpacker magazine I just about fainted. What an amazing honor from an incredibly well-regarded magazine. My next thought was………time to make the donuts!!!” Jennifer Scism, Good To-Go.
The Backpacker Editors’ Choice Awards are the gold standard against which all outdoor products are measured, and are a seal of approval that can help put an outdoor company or product on the proverbial map. Each year at the Outdoor Retailer show, retail buyers use the awards announcements as a must-buy shopping list, knowing that their customers will be asking for these products in the fall.
Good To-Go launched Spring 2014 with three lightweight, dehydrated gourmet meals made with all natural ingredients, no preservatives or additives.
