Goodhew Making a Difference through Retail Partnerships

Goodhew Socks recently donated 176 pair of hiker and light hiker socks to Connections for the Homeless, in Evanston, Illinois, in conjunction with Uncle Dan’s Outdoor Store.

Goodhew partnered with Uncle Dan’s to donate a pair of socks for every pair of Goodhew’s purchased at Uncle Dan’s to Connections for the Homeless, an organization providing housing, employment and supportive services to move individuals and families out of homelessness. The event happened during Northwestern University’s recent Parent’s Weekend.

“We are excited and extremely thankful for the sock donations from Goodhew and Uncle Dan’s,” says Lisa Todd, an organization coordinator at Connections for the Homeless. “Generally, we have more donations for women’s and children’s clothing, so this helps fill our urgent need for menswear at the onset of winter.”

As a local retailer, Uncle Dan’s also appreciates the power of partnerships, frequently working with surrounding area businesses and charities. And as a business, Goodhew understands the importance of supporting their retailers and also giving back to those in need.
